Browser Extension Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how the “Lyntrix — Product Tracking” browser extension (the “Extension”) handles data. It applies solely to the Extension; data processing on the Lyntrix platform as a whole is covered by the platform Privacy Policy (in Russian).

What data the Extension handles

Products you explicitly track. When you click “Track” on a product page, only data visible on that page is saved: product title; price and currency, plus price history; the product page URL and store domain; the product image URL; the date and time the product was added. Store icons (favicons) are read from the browser’s local cache and are not sent to the server.

Price-reading rule (“picker”). If the price is not detected automatically and you point at it with the cursor, a description of the selected page element (a CSS selector) is sent to the Lyntrix server as a price-reading rule request for that site. No other page content is transmitted.

Account data. If you sign in to a Lyntrix account, the server knows the e-mail address you registered with. The Extension does not request or process passwords for other services, payment details, or other financial information.

Guest mode. You can use the Extension without registration. In that case an anonymous guest profile with a random identifier is created on the server — no e-mail or other personal data. If you later sign in, the guest profile’s products are merged into your account.

Where data is stored

Your tracked list is stored in your browser (chrome.storage.local) and synchronized with Lyntrix’s own server at https://app.lyntrix.ru — under the anonymous guest profile or, after sign-in, in your account. Synchronization makes the list available in the web cabinet and preserves it across reinstalls. All transfers use HTTPS.

Network requests the Extension makes

• to Lyntrix’s own server (https://app.lyntrix.ru) — list synchronization, sign-in, settings, and price-recognition rules;
• to the pages of products you track — to read the current price during background checks; product images in the list are loaded directly from the store’s site.

The Extension makes no other network requests.

What the Extension does not do

• it does not collect browsing history or the content of pages you have not chosen to track;
• it does not collect passwords, payment details, or location;
• it contains no ads, third-party analytics, or trackers;
• it does not sell data or share it with third parties.

Why the requested permissions are needed

• storage — keep your list and settings on the device;
• favicon — show store icons next to items (from the browser’s local cache);
• alarms — periodic background price checks without an open tab;
• notifications — price-change notifications, generated on the device;
• offscreen — read the current price from a product page during background checks;
• declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess — temporarily removes headers that block a product page from loading in the hidden frame used for a price check; applies only to the domains of products being checked and only for the duration of the check;
• tabs — used only for the sign-in flow: open the login page, detect the redirect back with a one-time code, and remove the code from the address bar; browsing history is not read;
• site access — a product can be tracked in any online store, so the set of domains cannot be known in advance; access is used only to detect product pages and read prices.

Data deletion

Deleting a product from your list also removes it from your profile on the server. To delete your account and associated data, e-mail support@lyntrix.ru — data will be deleted except where retention is required by law.
